Sometimes students are required to take work home from school. For example, students may be asked to complete work that was started in class, study for tests, complete assigned readings, or work on a research project. There is no “right amount of time” a student should spend on homework. Students learn at different paces. It is important for students to practice what they are learning in school; however, it is also important for students to have time to relax and play. It is suggested that younger students begin with less homework and then gradually increase the amount of time spent as they age.
