Welcome to Simcoe County-English

​Simcoe County is located less than an hour north of Toronto, Ontario, and is a diverse geographic area offering a wide range of urban and rural communities.

More than 450,000 people live in Simcoe County, and the population is expected to grow as we continue to welcome people from other cultures to the area. You will find many opportunities for you and your family in Simcoe County; it is a great place to settle for work and raise a family.

The Simcoe County Immigration Portal is a source of local information for people new to the community or those thinking about making Simcoe County their home. This website provides vital information regarding programs, services and agencies in our community that may assist in your transition.  

The information within is provided in English. Although English is the prominent language in the County, our communities are home to a number of cultures and languages. There are resources available to help with interpreting or translating information for some programs and services.  Click here to request information in your language about Simcoe County. 

There are agencies in Simcoe County that provide programs and services to help newcomers integrate into the community. Organizations such as Settlement Services agencies offer English language classes and can provide you with information about living and working in Simcoe County, as well as referrals to other local services.
