Legal Services

The Canadian legal system protects people in many different ways. Sometimes people require services to assist with legal issues, such as immigration requirements, family disputes, and employment or criminal matters.

  • Legal Aid is a program in Ontario that ensures people have access to the legal help they need, regardless of their income. If someone cannot pay for a lawyer, legal aid can help.
  • To learn more about your legal rights, visit the Canadian Legal Education Ontario website (CLEO).  Resources on the CLEO site are also available in multiple languages
  • Lawyer can help someone if they have an issue related to the Canadian legal system or law. There are fees associated to the services of a lawyer, depending on the specific issue or services required. You can find information on finding a lawyer in Ontario here.
